Press Release: Klootwyk Racing Inc. to continue to support IRA Outlaw Sprint Series in 2009 – (3/30/2009)
 Klootwyk Racing is excited to announce plans to run the 2009 sprint car season with the IRA Outlaw Sprint Series. Entering their third full season optimism is high with the #3 team. 2008 was full of ups and downs; capturing a second feature win, but also suffering from some very tough luck late in the year.

Veteran driver Scott Uttech returns to the cockpit for a team that is already reloaded and ready for the start of the new season. Reflecting on 2008 Uttech commented, "We had a very good second year in 2008 where we were able to get our second IRA feature win in July at the King of Wisconsin race held at the Kenosha County Fairgrounds in Wilmot, WI. We squeezed in a number of top 5’s and top 10’s early in the season boosting our position in the points standings before turning our attention to prepare a brand new Maxim for the Nationals. We got the car finished for Knoxville, but lost focus on running well in the weeks leading up to that point. With two engine failures surrounding the Nationals and a couple torn up race cars late, we spent the remainder of the season just trying to keep a car on the track."
