Klootwyk Racing Inc. was founded in 2005 by brothers Jason, Jamie, and Joe Klootwyk. Growing up in rural Knoxville, IA, the brothers began attending weekly races at Knoxville Raceway at a young age, and became loyal fans of sprint car racing. In 2005 this love for the sport spawned Klootwyk Racing Inc. with the purpose to own and operate a 410 sprint car race team. The business was formally incorporated in 2006, and the #3 sprinter hit the track three times in preparation for their inaugural 2007 season.

Klootwyk Racing teamed up with veteran IRA Outlaw Series driver Scott Uttech to form what has turned out to be a strong and successful partnership for both. Success for the new team came quickly with an IRA Series feature win at the Filskov Memorial in Plymouth, WI and a strong 8th place finish in the series point’s standings in just their first year. Klootwyk Racing earned their second feature win as Scott Uttech was crowned 2008 King of Wisconsin at Wilmot Speedway.

2009 will mark the third full season competing with the IRA Outlaw Sprint Car Series.

Jason Klootwyk, 33, is a graduate from Iowa State University. Jason lives and works in Ft. Wayne, IN; employed by Bunge North America, where he is Commercial Manager for the Northern District. Jason and his wife Jennifer have three sons, Jacob, Jared, and Justin.

Jamie Klootwyk, 31, is also an Iowa State graduate. Jamie is employed by Trane as an Account Manager in their West Palm Beach, FL office. Jamie and his wife Trina reside in Wellington, FL with their three children, Erica, Kaden, and Emma.

Joe Klootwyk, 27, is a military veteran and Joe saw combat duty in Operation Iraqi Freedom while serving in the U.S. Army from 2001 through 2005. Joe is co-owner of Fenders Cycle and Motorsport Inc. located in Des Moines, IA. He and his wife Rochelle, live in Knoxville, IA. They have two sons, Lukas and Cash.
